Day 24 – How do you keep yourself fit physically and mentally?

Do you do regular physical exercise? Are you aware of your own thoughts and the behaviors followed after? Are you aware of the importance of your own physical health and mental well being? And are you cherishing and maximizing their best abilities in your life? Or simply not aware and neglecting the gifts that been given to you freely?

Keeping your body healthy and fit has quite few advantages. For example, you are always capable and ready for any actions, physically agile, shorter action and response time and if any mis-fortunate happens, you have higher chance to save yourself and others with stronger physical strength. Not to mention, it also keeps your spirits high and mind vigorous.

Keeping your mind active and fit is also very beneficial. You become more aware and alert to your own attitudes and thoughts held about yourself, others and life itself. You are able to analyze and trace the sources of your thoughts and behaviors, impacts followed by, choices you made and the potential what if result if you choose to do differently the next time around. The more you practice, the sharper your mind is; the sharper your mind is, the better decisions you make for your life.

Your body, mind and soul are all inter-connected. Once your body and mind are ready, fit, alert and always in actions, your soul is too. Your whole being is also ready and active. Anything you longs for, your being presents, your mind follows and your body performs the action, and you have what you wish for. An example: you long for “a secure, loving relationship with a decent man”. Being: your being, how you are within yourself, is secure, loving and decent (to yourself). Mind: your mind is aware of any existing thoughts or beliefs (a) you have toward yourself and (b) the man you meet has toward himself, about ‘secure’, ‘loving’ and ‘decent’. And how you behave or the man behaves when coming across to these key words. Your mind does and shares the analysis; base on the results, you make decisions for yourself to change, replace or modify existing beliefs and attitudes or you make decisions to say ‘no’ to the man or ‘yes’ to communicate further if you see it worth a try. Body: your body carries out the actions of your decisions, say ‘no’ or ‘yes’ to the man. (Remember getting a ‘no’ answer is a gift in disguise, because you save so much of your precious love and efforts on someone not meant to be.)

Today I love myself by: (read the below aloud 3 times and listen to what you read)

I keep my physical fitness by having regular exercises; I keep my mental fitness by being aware of my thoughts and the related behaviors (or vice verse), constantly challenging and supporting my own beliefs and attitudes hold, as well as being open minded to new ideas. I practice my body, mind and soul.

Today’s home work:

Start one physical exercise that you keep you physically fit; start one habit that keeps you mentally alert and active.
