Often we hear people at the death bed with regrets not having done that or gone to some places, or statements like “If I have it all over again, I would….” You will never know what yours will be like, because you are not there yet. And since you are not yet there, why not do all you want to do, go where you want to go and perhaps go extra miles beyond everything you do? So you give no chance to yourself of making any of the regretful statements later.
“An adventure is defined as an exciting or unusual experience; it may also be a bold, usually risk undertaking, with an uncertain outcome. The term is often used to refer to activities with some potential for physical danger, such as skydiving, mountain climbing and or participating in extreme sports. The term also broadly refers to any enterprise that is potentially fraught with physical, financial or psychological risk, such as a business venture, a love affair, or other major life undertakings.” (Wikipedia)
So what was the last adventure you have taken, no matter it was a physical, financial or psychological? Something or somewhere you have done or been that excited you and was unusual to your normal daily experiences? You felt completely overwhelmed by it afterward? The whole idea of taking and doing adventures is not just about challenge self abilities, but also to challenge the spirits of being bold, leaving the self-comfort zone, to experience something new and unusual, as well as to learn something more about yourself.
Fear and brevity are co-existing. Whenever your fear rises, if you could just take the focus off from fear for a moment and look at the brevity, you find brevity rises equally at the same time to balance the situation.
Today I love myself by: (read the below aloud 3 times and listen to what you read)
I welcome adventures to my journey of loving myself more, so I may constantly move myself out of comfort zone, experience something or some beliefs which are exciting, unusual and learn something new about myself.
Today’s home work:
Brainstorm for the adventurous activities that you find exciting, unusual and want to challenge yourself to do; just go and do, enjoy and overwhelmed by them, see what you learn more about yourself. Remember, adventure does not just mean extreme sports, but something you find them exciting and unusual like: travel to another new place all by yourself, taking the first step to ask someone you like secretively to go out, shave all your hairs off …etc. Everyone has own adventures!
Encouragement for myself:
